About

Susan Arnold fell in love with the world of writing at the young age of eight when she began writing a story about a girl named Vicka Nicky Nay. It is around then that she also picked up a camera for the first time.

Five years later, Arnold had her own camera and was starting her own freelance gig shooting birthday photos and landscapes.  During that time, in eighth-grade, her English teacher gave an assignment that changed her life; which was when she began writing Blue Vigilante.

After another five and a half years, Arnold enrolled at Northern Michigan University to pursue a degree in both English Writing and Photography. She self-published Blue Vigilante in May 2016. She graduated from NMU in May 2019.

In August of 2019, Arnold published a photo book, The Survivor Project, with the portraits of sexual assault and abuse survivors, paired with their transcribed stories.

Arnold has a Master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Missouri State University. Currently, she lives in Colorado with her dog, cat, and husband.
